I recently had the opportunity to visit the famous Findhorn community and was welcomed into one of the oldest and most well established alternative communities in the western world. Formed around three principles – Co-creation with Nature – Inner Listening – Love in Action – the community continues to meet the many challenges that face any gathering of people.
Yet the work of Findhorn seems also to make an intrinsic difference in the people of Northern Scotland and has extended to eco villages and Findhorn principles in countries all over the world.
John has been at Findhorn and involved with the manifestation of the three principles for many years, having begun his journey in 1967. He is a gentleman in the true sense of the word and is a softly spoken man who brings his absolute attention to whomever he is speaking with.
It was a great pleasure to meet and spend time with John and the other members of the Findhorn Foundation over the past few weeks. I hope I can take the three principles and those other things I have learned at Findhorn on this continuing pilgrimage of Balance, Peace and Freedom and the accompanying community focus of The Village.
I really hope you enjoy the interview as much as I enjoyed making it and meeting John.
Balance, Peace and Freedom. Co creation with Nature, Inner Listening and work as Love in Action.
